La Cachucha

La Cachucha, one of the most celebrated dances of Spain, was made popular in the middle of the 19th Century by Fanny Elssler, the great Austrian ballerina of the Romantic era. Mlle Elssler performed this dance as part of one of her most successful ballets, Le Diable Boiteux, choreographed by Jean Coralli (1836).
